Booking Request Form

PLEASE NOTE: The below form is a request form. All booking requests are subject to approval. The final tariff can also change – select groups either get a partial or full discount.

Please note there are two types of bookings, one for the demonstrator and one for the venue itself. Please select the appropriate one from the form.

If you are unsure about filing a booking reservation or have a question. Please reach out to us via admin@skyelab.uk. After you book, you should receive a confirmation email, please check your junk/spam folder if it is not showing up.

Venue Booking Details

The SkyeLab building offers a venue for meetings, training, events or any other activity where you may require a calm and prepared environment.

We have plenty of equipment in house to allow for a variety of meetings. It allows you to conduct either in-person meetings while recording or Hybrid (Mix of in-person and online). It also allows for presentations to an audience.

The SkyeLab space is a single open-plan room. It contains the SkyeLab ‘Smart Home’ Technology Demonstrator and Living-Lab equipment as well as seating for meeting/training purposes.

Access: There is single step to the door. We can provide a temporary ramp for wheelchair access on request.

Toilet: single unisex toilet. Note that toilet is not wheelchair accessible.

Kitchen: for simple catering, teas & coffees.

Parking: for 8 vehicles.

Dimensions: Approx 655x410cm usable venue space (excluding kitchen and toilet). Total area: ~26.86 m²

• Guest WiFi (30 Meg)
• 65” wall mounted LCD screen
• Logitech Group (WebCam with remote mics/speakers)
• Microsoft Surface Hub – for Teams Calls with SmartBoard /Whiteboard

Tariffs*:

£30 per hour – all inclusive of media & catering facilities (inc. teas & coffees if self-service)

Or £200 per day.  We are not VAT registered.

There is normally a SkyeLab representative present to welcome guests and provide Comms/Teams/Tech/Catering support.

Demonstrator Booking Details

SkyeLab offers a demonstrator of consumer grade, off the shelf products that members of public can book to view and explore if requested via the form above. We also offer a lending library where you can trial the products via a “Try before you Buy” scheme.

There is no cost to booking a demonstrator. The demo sessions last up to 2 hours, however shorter and more concise sessions can be arranged.

Catering will also be provided to people attending a demonstrator session.
